sento is a VC-backed startup developing europe’s leading workflow-management platforms, designed to make data exchange between retailers and suppliers seamless. With an intuitive API-based EDI and process automation solution, sento covers everything from order and delivery data to invoices and delivery notes.
Trusted by manufacturers, distributors, and logistics providers across Europe, sento drives measurable efficiency gains, enhances cash-flow visibility, and fosters frictionless collaboration with every trading partner - without the need for complex IT projects.
With the support of the co-founders of SumUp, Celonis, Zalando and investors like Picus Capital, sento raised €9 million early last year to fuel their continued growth in the coming years.
sento is building a workflow management platform with entering a number of development partnerships, serving a diverse client base with a wide range of use cases. As demand for their solution grew, so did the number of customer requests for tailored features.
Faced with a high volume of individual feature requests, sento's development team needed a way to address these needs and test new features quickly without slowing down core product development.
sento brought NOA on board to support the development and testing of custom features requested by their development partners and clients, using powerful low-code solutions. One of their joint projects focused on enhancing the seller onboarding flow for a B2C marketplace that sento had built for a major German hardware retail chain.
The retailer required a fully automated onboarding process. This included seamless data exchange between the seller registration page, sento’s onboarding platform, and the retailer’s internal systems for document processing, databases, and marketplace management.
As the chosen solution partner for the fast-growing startup, NOA expanded sento’s onboarding platform for the B2C marketplace - tailored to the specific needs of the German hardware retail chain. Rather than relying on time-consuming hard-coded changes, NOA opted for integrable low-code and no-code tools to enable rapid feature prototyping, thanks to their short implementation times and high adaptability.
The solution built was designed around the following three core components:

Make.com was established as the central hub for managing the automation logic and integrating all involved tools.
The API connections created via Make enable seamless functionality between sento’s workflow management platform and any third-party system.
Concretely, the seller application landing page - where prospective sellers submit their data - was connected directly to the sento platform (see right). Once the onboarding workflow within the sento platform was completed, Make triggered the next steps by integrating DocuSign, which was used to send and monitor all required contractual documents.
After the contracts were signed, all relevant data - from the landing page, the sento platform, and DocuSign - was automatically compiled and forwarded to VTEX, the system the hardware chain uses to manage its active marketplace operations.

sento’s onboarding platform was the central tool in the seller admission workflow. It gave employees of the hardware retail chain a clear and structured way to manage applications from new marketplace sellers. They could track each application, verify submitted data, request additional information, and approve or decline applicants - all within a single interface.
At specific steps in the process, previously described make.com automations were triggered automatically in the background. These automations handled tasks like sending notifications to sellers, enriching data, or creating and managing contract work, ensuring everything happened at the right time without manual intervention. This made the onboarding process faster, more consistent, and easier to scale.

By using Make.com, an array of third-party services was seamlessly connected and integrated into the Sento platform. This enabled the smart and pragmatic implementation of all custom features requested by the hardware retail chain, without the need for complex in-house development.
Key integrations included:

NOA successfully demonstrated the value of low-code and no-code tools in delivering fast, reliable, and adaptable solutions tailored to client needs. By leveraging tools like Make.com, NOA enabled rapid prototyping and seamless integration of third-party services - without the need for hard-coded changes or long development cycles.
As a result, sento was able to roll out a fully functional and automated marketplace onboarding workflow for a major German hardware retail chain within weeks, not months. The implemented solution not only achieved production-level reliability but also proved highly scalable and maintainable, allowing internal teams to manage and extend the onboarding process with minimal technical overhead.
